meet lexie

Hey, I’m Lexie. I’m a photographer and filmmaker based in Illinois, but also a wife, a mom to two little boys, and a proud farmer’s daughter. We live in a tiny home out in the country with our pup, and most days you'll find me enjoying a slow morning, squeezing in a shoot or two during the week, and ending the day with my family and a glass of wine (or let’s be honest—probably folding laundry).

It started with a Canon Rebel gifted by my mom.

I didn’t always know this would be my path. I first studied in nursing, then switched to business, and it wasn’t until my mom gave me a camera in college that something clicked. I started taking photos just for fun—friends, family, anyone who’d let me. Then it turned into seniors. Then second shooting weddings. And somewhere in there, I realized this wasn’t just a hobby. It was the thing that lit me up.

Now, I get to call this my job—capturing people’s stories through photos and films that feel like them. I shoot digital, film, and Super 8, and I love mixing it all together to make something a little nostalgic, a little dreamy, and totally true to you. I don’t care about perfect. I care about real. The movement, the energy, the feeling you’ll want to remember years from now.

what i do best

The real stuff. The belly laughs, the crooked ties, the wind-blown hair. I love when people stop trying to pose and just fall into the moment. That’s where the magic is. And that’s what I want you to remember most.

Helping you feel comfortable being yourself. I’ll guide when you need it and step back when you don’t, always paying attention to the things that matter. My favorite photos are rarely the posed ones.

"In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine."

There's something sacred about slowing down enough to truly see. In a world that moves too quickly, I believe in creating space for genuine connection —capturing the gentle whispers, lingering embraces, and unscripted joy that define your most precious relationships.

Documentation isn't just about preserving what something looked like, but how it felt. The way light softens across skin, how time seems suspended in a quiet moment, the texture of real emotion—these elements deserve to be preserved with intention. My camera becomes a witness to your story, translating fleeting moments into tangible treasures that grow more meaningful with each passing year.
